Memories are special moments that tell our life story

Welcome to Make Memories...

If you are looking for a fun group activity, a little more unique than usual then get in touch. Whatever the occasion, from crafting hen parties to baby showers, special birthdays to team building activities - Make Memories Workshops are creative experiences perfect for all ages, groups and abilities.

Make Memories workshops began with the aim of offering some ‘me time’ to carers of those with health issues, particulary Dementia, to learn crafting skills to use with their patients or loved ones. All while meeting like minded people, having a cuppa and some chill out time. These sessions have developed to help anyone keep their mind active and healthy, while having fun!

Being creative can help improve the health and well being of people who experience mental or physical problems. Or, just be a great hobby to record your life story and help maintain positive mental health. Exploring your creative side can help mental health issues such as Dementia, depression, stress, anxiety or post natal depression to name a few.

Who will you be crafting with?

Leona Gallen is the driving force behind Make Memories. An Irish artist and designer who has worked professionally in design since graduating in 2003. Being a child of the 80's, subliminal influences of Blue Peter and Button Moon have been ingrained in her creative side forever! Creating masterpieces from an empty washing up liquid bottle and a bottle of PVA from she could hold a paintbrush. Hoarding everything that has potential to be reused and recycled into a piece of art, now she wants to share that knowledge with you! The idea was something Leona had been working on for a few years, in 2015 winning a Lead The Change Award from UnLtd gave her the opportunity to make this a reality.
